PA Power Library Databases

Welcome to the PA Power Library, a large collection of databases to help with school work, research, or to answer questions you may have. You need a valid PMPL library card to access PA Power Library from home. Please call the library if you have any questions or problems using Power Library.

Using PA Power Library from home:

Click on the button for PA Power Library.

You will see the basic webpage for the Power Library. When you click on a database selection, then you will be promted to log-in or "authenticate" using your PMPL library card patron barcode number.

A window appears for you to authenticate using your PMPL library card. You must enter the P and numbers that are on the back of your library card with the barcode.
Look for your library barcode number on the back.
You need to create a five digit number with the P in front.
For instance, if your number is P 1234, then you’ll need to add a zero so it will read P01234, etc.
If you already have five numbers following the P, then you won't need to add a zero.

Occasionally access to databases does not work, or databases are very slow.
Please call the library if you are having trouble getting into Power Library databases from home.
At times there is a technical problem from PA Power Library, and sometimes the problem is with authenticating from home. The library can help you figure this out.
