PMPL began the Master Gardener Series in 2005 after a chance conversation with James Gaymon, a Penn State Master Gardener. Since then, he has graciously provided this unique and very popular programming for the library. Some of the programs are also in partipation with the Penn State Monroe County Extension. Next time you see Mr. Gaymon give him a big thanks!
Take a moment to read a great
article
about Mr. Gaymon in the June 16, 2006 issue of the Pocono Record.
Some gardening programs that Mr. Gaymon has done are: composting, caring for lawns, trimming & pruning trees, caring for roses, caring for orchids, creating a rock garden, planting an herb garden, soil testing, and vegetable gardens.
All our Master Gardener programs are held on the third Saturday of the month from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, and require registration. We maintain a wait list for popular events.
Please call the library to register or if you have any questions @ 570-894-8860.
