HOW TO DOWNLOAD e-AUDIOBOOKS FROM HOME
via the NetLibrary website:

You need to visit the library first to get set up with your account Username and Password!

After you have your Username and Password, then follow the instructions below.

  • Click on the button for PA Power Library. PA Power Library

  • IF a window appears for you to authenticate from home using your PMPL library card, then you must enter the P and numbers that are on the back of your library card with the barcode.
Look for your library barcode number on the back.
You need to create a five digit number with the P in front.
For instance, if your number is P 1234, then you’ll need to add a zero so it will read P01234, etc.
If you already have five numbers following the P, then you won't need to add a zero.

  • Otherwise...Select NetLibrary from the Find a Book section.

  • At this time you will be asked to enter your Username and Password on the NetLibrary page.
You must use the Username and Password that you set up in NetLibrary for your Recorded Books e-audiobook account.
You need to visit the library to set up the Username and Password.

  • In NetLibrary, go to the right of the screen for the e-Audiobooks or e-Audiobooks Center, and click on one of the links.

  • Browse books by Subject or do Keyword/Title search.
(Tip: try browsing the books in the different Subject categories first to get a feel for the type of books they have.)

(You can listen to preview a of the book to see if you like the narrator if you want to.)

  • Download either Radio Quality or CD Quality* MP3 file.
Use Radio quality if you just want to listen to the book on your computer.
You must use CD quality if you want to transfer the file to an MP3 player.

  • Now, after you've made your download selection, you will be prompted with a "save" window.
Select Save, and then Save e-audiobook to your "desktop" where it is easiest to retrieve.

  • Windows Media Player will open, and then the file will transfer.
Please note the transfer rate - some books may take a while to download.
IF Windows Media Player does not open, or things don't seem to be happening, you may need to click on the link that says "download the eAudiobook manually" that appears in the yellow and green box above the download choices.

  • After the transfer is complete, at some point a window will pop up to ask you to accept the license for the book.
You MUST accept this license for the book you just downloaded.
